NPFC 2023 notification of changes to OPA90 COFR Limits further to the latest Consumer Price Index Adjustment
The U.S. Oil Pollution Act 1990 (OPA 90) provides for periodic adjustments of the OPA90 limits of liability in line with increases in the Consumer Price Index (CPI); reviewed not less than every three years. On 3 January 2023, the United States Coast Guard published a CPI increase to come into effect on 23 March 2023.

Prior Notification Request for Passenger vessels trading to the Persian Gulf War Risk area
Following explosions at the Fujairah anchorage on 12th May 2019, the JWC updated the Listed Areas to reflect the perceived heightened war risk across the region. In order to avoid any coverage issues going forward, Shoreline respectfully request that their War Blue Card insureds seek Shoreline’s prior approval, before entering the Persian Gulf war risk area, as defined by the JWC, until further notice.
